Changing the Name Displayed for your Character
When I started playing Guild Wars, I used a character that I no longer have on my account. The default name for my character on other people's friend list, the name that is displayed before any guild announcements I make, anywhere that doesn't use the name of the character you are currently logged in as: all of these still show that original character.
My question: Is there a way to change the name displayed on guild announcements and the like from the old character's name to the newer character's name? |

Just get your friends to re-add you.
In terms of Guild the answer is no, but you could kick everyone, disband the guild, log in with the character you want and remake it/reinvite everyone |

Well, bum. It bugs me, but not to the tune of all the gold it would take to get the Guild Hall NPCs back.
Thanks for the answer, though. |

instead of disbanding, you might want to promote a trustworthy member to guild leader, then have them re-promote your current character back to leader
(lol did that make sense?) |

Yep, made sense. Worked perfectly, too.
Thanks big time for the help! |
